“what if the whole world was like Reconnect” a dancer conversation series

Dancer Conversation Series

Kirsti & Amy

Today’s email news continues our Dancer Conversation Series – stories from 10 years of Reconnect with your Body.  Amy Dressel-Martin joined Reconnect in 2013 and Kirsti Peterson joined in 2018. Listen to Amy and Kirsti talk about their shared history of dancing with Young Onset Parkinson’s and dance down memory lane with clips from Reconnect’s history.  (Photo at Denver Botanic Gardens by Scott Dressel-Martin)

Stay tuned for another Dancer Conversation next week!

“I’m Alive”

One of our favorite events to be a part of is “Open Space” at the Dairy Arts Center sponsored by 3rd Law Dance/Theater.  This archive video is from 2017, our first appearance at Open Space performing two of our greatest hits.  In between is a fantastic poem Wayne wrote for and about Reconnect.  Enjoy!

our mission

Art as Action brings people together at the intersection of dance, (dis)ability and creative potential.

19 years of Artivism

Art as Action was founded in 2002 to be a collaborative collective of Artivists— which we define as champions and ambassadors of the communal, universal, and healing language of art. Artivism emboldens the distinct, rare creativity deep within each individual.

OUR MISSION: Art as Action brings people together at the intersection of dance, (dis)ability and creative potential.
