ARTIVIST CALENDAR

We have been keeping busy at Artivist headquarters, and there are exciting Artivist happenings coming up!

liturgy for turbulent times

Wayne A Gilbert, Jan Gilbert Leversee and Sarah Leversee will perform a brand new poetry/dance collaboration called “LITURGY FOR TURBULENT TIMES” – a 12ish minute piece that will be thought provoking, soul healing and action invoking as part of Control Group Productions performance: “HOME – where dance lives.”

HOME – where dance lives
March 4 & 5, 2017 at 7pm

The Studio Theater at Colorado Conservatory of Dance
3001 Industrial Lane #12, Broomfield 80020

Home is a showcase of new and in-process creations by Resident Artists at Colorado Conservatory of Dance and other remarkable local dance-makers including Life/Art Ensemble, Sumi Clements / Summation Dance, a collaborative creation by Kat Gurley (Wild Heart Dance) & Patrick Mueller (Control Group) and Artivist alums Whitney Waugh Dance.  It is a celebration of the place where our art lives, and an invitation to sit with us and witness the moment of new works unfolding.

The performance, a semi-annual event presented by Control Group Productions in collaboration with CCD’s Professionals Program, offers a rich spectrum of dance works in the lovely, intimate space of CCD’s Studio Theater. The event aims to introduce audiences to new artists, and to invite viewers into the artistic process, cultivating rich dialogs and new relationships throughout our community.

dance: found

AaA Artistic Director Sarah Leversee will debut a new solo piece (so new it doesn’t have a name yet!) at the annual Colorado Conservatory of Dance “Dance: Found” performance.
