Our small and mighty non-profit has evolved in so many ways since we began our Reconnect with your Body dance classes for people with and without Parkinson’s in 2011.

Our new name reflects that transformation – honoring the past, claiming the present and dreaming into our bright future.

Reconnect Dance Community is a new chapter that symbolizes all we have learned and all we have created over the years.

Even though we are retiring the name Art as Action, the optimistic essence of Artivism that was dreamed up 23 years ago will carry on.  That legacy is our foundation and will continue to support us as we enter this new chapter.

(P.S. We are still working on the many logistics of legally changing our name – you’ll still see us listed as Art as Action in some places!)
