JOIN the Board of Directors (aka “Boardavists”)

The Art as Action Board of Directors is both a governing and working entity that meets monthly. This dynamic group of passionate and dedicated Artivists supports all aspects of our small and mighty non-profit organization including programming, fundraising, events, governance and community networking. Boardavists are ambassadors of Artivism, make a two-year commitment and serve on at least one committee.
YOU ARE: passionate, dedicated, collaborative, well-connected, creative
YOU GIVE: 4-6 volunteer hours/month + an annual, personally meaningful, tax-deductible contribution
YOU GET: to be a member of the amazing team on the ground whose hard work and profound vision makes Artivism possible

JOIN the Advisory Board (aka "Consultavists")

The Art as Action Advisory Board is a source of brainstorming, feedback and advice for the Board of Directors and meets quarterly. This diverse team of Artivists offers professional expertise and big picture perspective to our small and mighty non-profit organization. Consultavists are ambassadors of Artivism and make a one-year commitment.

YOU GIVE: 8-10 volunteer hours/year + an annual, personally meaningful, tax-deductible contribution
YOU GET: to help grow an up and coming organization by contributing invaluable advice and expertise to our Boardavists and Artistic Director.

JOIN an Artivist Committee

OUTREACH: Spread the word about our performances and programs recruit potential performers and explore possible collaborations with other organizations.

FUNDRAISING: Use your vast network and sparkling personality to secure vital funding sources that support our $30K annual budget through Corporate Sponsorship and Individual Giving. Collaborate with the Artistic Director to plan and execute our annual online fundraising campaign, obtain Silent Auction donations and plan fundraising events such as our Annual Launch Party.

PROGRAMS: Plan, facilitate and promote Art as Action’s existing programs: Reconnect with your Body dance classes and Young Artivists.

BUSINESS OF ARTIVISM: Bring The Artivist Process into businesses as a professional development / team building program. This new AaA program is an opportunity to expand the benefits of Artivism and expand the organization's income streams.

ARTIVIST SUPPORT: Collaborate with the Artistic Director to carry out the Piece Submission Process and help select the pieces for the show.

Be a Stage Manager, Lighting Designer, Sound Engineer, Stagehand
